Laser distance meters are very precise and easy to use. The accuracy is between 1 and 2 mm depending on the device and is independent of the length of the measured distance. Indoors, the measurement is usually very unproblematic, because you can aim the laser dot very well even on small areas. In sunlight, however, the laser dot is not always visible and it is therefore difficult to aim at distant objects. To remedy this, there are laser distance meters with an integrated camera that show the target on the display and simultaneously superimpose a target cross on the image.
