Laser rangefinders are very precise and easy to use. The accuracy is between 1 and 2 mm, depending on the device, and is independent of the length of the measured distance. Indoors, the measurement is usually very straightforward, as you can very well target even small areas with the laser dot. However, in sunlight, the laser dot is not always visible, and remote stationary objects can, therefore, be difficult to target. To remedy this, there are laser rangefinders with integrated cameras, showing the target on the screen, and, simultaneously, displaying a crosshair in the image.
