Laser distance meters are very precise and easy to use. The accuracy is between 1 and 2 mm depending on the device and is independent of the length of the measured distance. Indoors, measurement is generally very unproblematic, as the laser dot can also be aimed at small areas very easily. In sunlight, however, the laser dot is not always visible and it is therefore difficult to aim at distant objects. To remedy this, there are laser distance meters with an integrated camera that show the target on the display and simultaneously superimpose a target cross on the image.
